Heart Walk 2010!

Today was the Heart Walk. Arianna has been talking about it for weeks and was really excited to go. I was advised by my doctor NOT to do the 3-mile walk but I decided to anyways. I know..I know...BAD mommy!

Here are some pictures from the walk. We went with our Mended Little Hearts of Tucson group and had a great turnout.

1st time hitting a baseball!

I can't believe it...my baby can hit a baseball!!! She is only 3 1/2 years old. I'm so proud of her!!! If you know Robert you know how much of a baseball fan he is so that is totaly a Daddy/daughter thing. Arianna even asked Robert tonight before going to bed if they can do baseball again tomorrow.

**Sorry for the horrible video. This was taken on my camera**

Party time!

Today I took Arianna and Cyrus to our friends birthday party. I went picture crazy today so I put some pictures in a slideshow. Today was such a wonderful experience. Thankfully we had the most amazing group of 7 year olds that were so nice to Arianna. Even though she is 5 years younger than them she really particapted well in all the activites. Enough talking about it....check it out!

This post is long overdue

I decided to put all my pictures from Orlando into a slideshow.

As you could see from the photos I had alot of fun and meet some of the most amazing heart moms. It was a very busy weekend but I learned alot and hope to bring alot back to my own MLH group.

It wasn't very long once I got back home that I started working on my MLH bowling fundraiser. I've been pounding the pavement getting donations and working on lane sponsorships.

Thursday I had to stop at one of the bowling alleys to drop off some flyers so we decided to let Arianna and her friend Lexi bowl a game since neither of them have bowled before. Both girls had a blast! Arianna did really good scoring a 53! Of course I didn't have my camera with me but I got a few pictures on my phone. It's not the best quality but at least you get the idea.

I know it's blurry but she was so cute jumping up and down as she waited for her pins to fall.

Arianna got to spend time with her Nanny and Poppy this afternoon while I was at my MLH meeting. We had a CPR/First Aid training which went really well.

I wasn't about to cook so we picked up some pizza on the way home and just had a nice evening at home.

I plan on taking Arianna to church tomorrow and will be taking her in the preschool class. This will be the first time she has ever gone into a classroom setting with other kids. The ages are from birth to 4 so we'll see how she does. I'll make sure to blog about it tomorrow.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. It's almost 1am and my eyes are crossing so I better end here. Good night!

Graduation

I know I've been the biggest slacker with pictures lately so here goes. Last Thursday Arianna had her graduation cermony from the Early Intervention Program. It was so amazing to see all the kids with different abilities going up to receive their diplomas. Arianna clapped for every child and when it was her turn she was SO excited. I can't believe I didn't take the video camera with me....bad mama.

Not too excited about the cap

Receiving her diploma from Sherri (early interventionist)

Eating watermelon.

Ari was looking at Sherri instead of my mom for this picture.
Here is a quick video from today. I'm constantly amazed at how much she is talking now!

Synagis today

Arianna had to get her Synagis shots today. :( No fun at all. Since it was such a beautiful day outside we decided to wait outside until her turn. She cried the second we walked in until she saw the monkey she loves. She has loved this monkey since she was a baby.

I wasn't sure what her weight was last month so when I got home and checked her records I was shocked to find out she gained....1 pound 3.5 ozs...which makes her 22 pounds 9.5 ozs!!! She has never gained over a p0und in 1 month ever.

This is her at home just being a ham.

My girl is back!!!

Thankfully, my girl is back! She didn't even need her inhaler today. She has a little cough every now and then but nothing too bad.

Ever since last week she has this redish patch of skin under her right eye that goes up the right side of her nose. She always rubs her nose, which I'm curious if she has allergies to something, but now I'm wondering what this red patch is from. After seeing Isaac the other day I'm thinking it just might be a DiGeorge thing. (He is looking much better Kathy!)

We saw Arianna's occupational therapist today and did her find motor evaluation. I don't think we have ever done one of these. I am SO proud to say Arianna is scoring at 28 months of age. She is only 27 moths old so that is wonderful new! Janet doesn't even think she needs OT anymore but with all the state budget cuts she is still going to put into our insurance to approve 6 visits a year. This way she can continue to see Arianna every few months, even after she turns 3 years old. Wow...my baby will be 3 this year!!!

I got a picture of Janet and Arianna today.

Then this afternoon we went to meet a co-worker of mine from Utah who is visiting her in-laws just down the road in Corona de Tucson. We meet her at the park but she didn't bring her children because they were napping. (Naps...what are those?!?!) Arianna had a blast and went on the slide several times and LOVED the swing. Of course I forgot my camera so no pictures. :(

I'm not sure if I've told you all lately, but Arianna speech is really taking off. She is repeating more of what I say. The other day is was "bucket water" and today it is "orange pumpkin". I got her on video....she was being shy for some reason. The part where she is screaming is her saying, "Daddy look!" I know I understand alot of what she is saying but alot of people still cannot.

My little cook

I'm pretty tired so this will be quick. I've been working on support group stuff all day. I still have tons to do but I'm so exhausted it will have to wait till tomorrow. Guess 3 days of staying up till 3 or 4am is finally catching up to me.

Arianna had speech therapy yesterday. We did an evaluation and she is at the 18-21 month age for her speech. She is really coming alot though. Just today she put two new words together and I caught it on video. Here she is cooking!

She has a really soft voice so I'm not sure if you can hear her or not. Make sure to turn off the music at the bottom.

Arianna LOVES her big brother!
This is what I came home to this afternoon....

Arianna covered in marker.

Then we went to the little playground by our house.

By the time we left she was able to go up the stairs and side down all by herself. I had my camera with me that can also take video, so the quality isn't that great but I just had to share.

~Happy Halloween~

Here's some video I took last night. Make sure to scroll to the bottom and pause the music so you can hear her little voice. Don't mind the very end of the video, I was taping over Robert's airplane stuff (and yes he gave me permission.)

She was so tired my baby girl fell asleep trick or treating

She did wake up once we got back to Aunt Lissa's. She made out with alot of candy and had a blast! I have to say Halloween is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays. Having kids sure makes this holiday so much fun! :)

Shoes, turtles, and bugs!

We officially lost Arianna's only pair of tennis shoes. They were the cutest little Nike's ever and I am totally bummed that I lost them. So yesterday while we were out I stopped at Michael's Shoe Store and got her a new pair of shoes. I was so amazed with the service I received at this store. The owner, Michael, was there and I told him exactly what the orthopedic doctor wanted and he examined Arianna's feet himself. He is a board certified podiatrist which also made me feel good about this guy. I told him I needed to find shoes with arch support and he said there are no kids shoes with arch support until like a size 10 or something, which isn't the first time I've heard this. However, they can actually put arch support inserts in the shoes themselves. Since she has such a narrow foot they added this extra strip of padding to the tongue and a piece of corck by the toe (I know I never new a shoe could have so much done to it), but the end result was perfect. Oh yeah....I also found out she should be wearing a size 6, not the size 4 I've had her in. Wow...I feel horrible now. When we got home I was making her run around to catch me and the first thing I noticed was how her gait immediatly improved. Her legs were closer together and she could actually run better than before. I am SO happy I stopped at this store and got her the shoes she needed. I just wish they didn't cost as much as my shoes seeing how she'll be growing out of them evey few months. For those interested the shoe brand is Mobility. I couldn't find anything on it online but they look like the regular white walking shoes. I'll have to take a picture and show you next time.

This one's for you Kathy! Sorry it's a bath video. Arianna is just going to kill me when she gets older. :)

I just LOVE this picture!

For the past few weeks Arianna has been working on saying the word 'bug'. Well she finally can say it perfect and that's what I hear from the moment I wake up till the moment she goes to bed. It really is cute the infatuation she has with bugs right now. I think I'll have to buy her a bug catcher cause she just can't get enough of them. Then it made it all that more exciting when we found a caterpillar the other day.

So...I was sitting here on the cough tonight and realized she has a ladybug costume from last Halloween. Robert didn't think it would still fit her so I went to check it out and.....

it fits. Well sort of. It's too short on the arms and legs but she still thought it was pretty neat for about 1 minute, then she started screaming to get it off. Of course I had to get a picture anyways. I know...mean mom. Can you tell in the picture she is pointing to something. Yep...it was a bug on the wall.

I thought I would post a picture from last Halloween as well.

After I took the costume off she ran around like a wild child (seems to be the norm around here -this girl has been testing me lately). I didn't hear her for a few minutes and when I walked in the living room this is what I found.

She fell asleep watching her bug on the wall.

Fun in the bathroom!

I couldn't decide which picture to post so I decided to make a quick montage. She sure was having a blast in the bathroom tonight!

I have a little helper on my hands lately. I pulled the chair up to the sink when I was washing Arianna's cups tonight and after I rinsed them she would stack them properly in the drain board. I will definintly start having her help me more in the kitchen. :)

She really enjoys helping me cook too which is alot of fun. Now if I could only get her to eat more. She really has been stressed out lately by her poor eating. She is already a little peanut I don't need her losing any weight now. I'm not very creative with cooking so if you have any suggestions please let me know. At least she was 21 pounds last week so it's not like she is extremely small. As a mother I just want to feed my child and it's so frustrating when she doesn't want to eat. I feel like it's my fault when I know its not. At least she likes ice cream...it's been the only thing putting the weight on her!

Well I better get a few things done before bed. Good night!
