On July 11th we had our 1st Annual Mended Little Hearts Bowling Fundraiser and raised $550! Here are some pictures from that day. It was great to see all the heart kids and friends and family out supporting our heart kids.

Then Arianna got to spend alot of time with her friend Alyssa. Here they are loving on the kitty.

Last week we saw the pulmonologist and he said Arianna's lungs sound like they are healing! YAY! We talked alot about how wonderful she was doing and then he went on to say he thinks we don't need to come back unless needed. Then I reminded him that this winter will be the first time she does NOT get the synagis shots (RSV shots). He decided to have her come back in November and we will discuss doing a preventative inhaler. As far as her asthma goes, she will use the albuterol as needed. I told him about her coughing with running and he said if we plan on going to the park or where she will run around alot to just give her the inhaler before we go. If thats all I have to worry about I'm happy! :)

This afternoon Arianna fell face first on the tile floor and got a huge bump on her forehead. Honestly, I was really freaked out but Robert calmed me down. You can see the bump right above her left eye.

So the past 2 days Arianna has been crying badly about right hip pain and not putting weight on it for several minutes so I am taking her in on Wednesday to see the pediatrician. I just want to make sure its nothing serious.

Well I have to run. I'll post more pictures later.

Pudding Time!

Most people think of eating pudding....well not us. We get to do pudding painting!

Arianna & Sherri (EI) working on pudding painting!
Today the early interventionist came by and did the DAYC Assessment for school transition. I kept Arianna occupied at the table with us by doing some pudding painting and she loved it! It took her a minute to warm up to it but after it was fine. She even got a few licks in....I'll take any calories I can get. lol!
According to the assessment Arianna is alot of age appropriate things. I have to wait a few days to get the final results but I'm sure she did great. We are doing all these assessments because we meet with the school district at the end of August to see if she qualifies for services.
Tomorrow we have nothing planned and with how hot it's been we will definitely be staying indoors.
Friday we see our wonderful pediatrician at the hospital since we are transferring to this clinic. I'll be taking Arianna by the PICU to say hello to the nurses cause it's been awhile since they've seen her.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!
I know I keep promising pictures but I just haven't been into taking pictures lately. I forgot my camera all weekend long and we've done some pretty fun stuff.

We went and watched some fireworks at my friends house. Yes, it's illegal but we were just spectators. lol! As soon as we got out the car someone set off a huge firework and traumatized Arianna. It was so sad I almost cried. I stayed with her in the house for awhile but I wanted to take her outside to see some fireworks that were at a distance but she could still hear the ones my friends were lighting so that was a big mistake. The whole time she kept saying, "scare me momma, scare me."

Poor thing walked outside tonight and covered her ears looking around for the fireworks with this scared look on her face. Lesson learned, we have to watch at a distance from now on.

We also went fishing twice this weekend and Arianna caught 2 goldfish. lol! We threw them back and she loved that part too.

I think that was pretty much all we did. We spent alot of time with friends and Arianna loves to play with her friend, Alyssa, so she was happy about that.

Today we had her new OT assitant come out and work with her on her sensory issues and eating. We only had a little nibble of cheese and chocolate candies. Her eating has been horrible the past few days. I'm going to call the nutritionist tomorrow and schedule an appointment for her to come out.

Tomorrow we see Sherri, Arianna's early interventionist. Not sure where are goals are with her right now so we will talk more about that tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July!!

We started off our 4th of July by taking the kids to see Ice Age in 3D! It was the first time Arianna has ever been to the movies and she did really good. I mean, how good can a 2 1/2 year old do for a 1 1/2 hour long movie. lol! She didn't like to wear the 3D glasses but she still enjoyed it.

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

I woke up feeling worse today then I did yesterday. UGH!!! I just want this cold to be gone.

Can you believe Arianna slept from 5pm last night till 9am this morning?!?! I couldn't even enjoy that time cause I was more worried about why she was sleeping. lol! She still has a runny nose but she doesn't let that stop her.

Tomorrow I am going to try and relax as much as I can so I feel better by Saturday. We are planning on going to a birthday party but if we are still sick that won't happen, so I better try to rest up now.

I just have to tell everyone how happy I am to announce on MY blog...lol...Krista Layman had her baby boy this morning. Welcome to the world Grant Lee Layman! If you want to check out how adorable he is just click here.
