Tomatoes & Salmonella

Tomatoes eyed in Salmonella cases in 9 states

If you haven't read this article I suggest you do. I know this is kind of random for me to share but having a child who loves tomatoes and has a weakened immune system makes me want to share with with you.

Arianna is doing great. I finally got our camera to download so I'll post some pictures later today.

Wow...that freaks me out...I won't be buying any tomatoes for awhile...at least I don't have to worry about any of my kids getting sick seeing none of them will touch them :) Somehow I am sure you figured that with Micah already ;)

Oh...here is your murmur lesson thanks to Jon's doctor (so if I am wrong you can thank my ADHD hubby for not telling me right)

1/6 barely audible and not constant
2/6 constant but not very loud
3/6 constant medium loud
4/6 constant loud
5/6 Loud and you do not need a stethoscope to hear it
6/6 he did not tell me...I am guessing really, really loud :)

Now...again, this is from Jonathan, the ultimate "do not pay attention person" so it may be totally wrong...I think that you have a doctor who follows this blog, so maybe she will chime in on what it all means.

Micah is normally a 1/6 but when he starts to get sick he goes to a 2/6...so some may just turn their noses at that, but in my opinion, any change in the murmur means something.

Love ya!

Hi Vanessa,

Thanks for sharing that....I hadn't seen anything about it and I noticed Utah was one of the states on the list! I love tomatoes, but my kids won't eat them, so they're safe. I'll be washing mine extra carefully now!

I read a few of your recent updates that I'd missed. I will be praying for Arianna's back, and also for her immunology appointment.

I know it feels like it's always "something." I have my moments with Emma where we're in such a routine that I tend to forget the problems until we're out in public and they become quite noticeable. It can be overwhelming at times emotionally. Hang in there, and know that you aren't alone!

Give that sweet little girl a big hug from us! I'm looking forward to seeing some new pictures!

Lots and Lots of Love & Prayers,

Wendy (& Emma, too!)
